Audible Influence

Joining forces to curate and market a three-act exploration of hardcore music for the ages.

In collaboration with DJ Hacker, I researched, curated, promoted, and operated a series of three Thursday Night Feature shows exploring subcultures in hardcore music.

 

We delved into midwest emo, Wapred Tour nostalgia, and Myspace-era scene kid music. I designed compelling graphics to promote the series on Instagram, drawing inspiration from popular aesthetics within each subculture.

 

Our series garnered a cult following on Twitter amongst listeners and we even received several new DJ applications afterwards that referenced the series as the spark for their interest in WXYC. Through strategic and authentic social media marketing, we created buzz-worthy programming that became a cultural touchstone.
